Es el caso de Atelier Barcelona, un peque\u00f1o teatro abierto en pleno barrio de la Ribera, situado en el mismo local palaciego que hace una d\u00e9cada ocupaba la sala Abaixadors 10. Fue en esa bonita casona donde, pr\u00e1cticamente a pelo, Martin Brandlmayr, Christof Kurzmann y el prol\u00edfico Ken Vandermark saltaron a escena con una propuesta basada en practicar la llamada improvisaci\u00f3n libre a partir de fragmentos compuestos, esbozos o simplemente secuencias. En este sentido destac\u00f3 la combinaci\u00f3n sorprendente de temas de cariz exploratorio, progresivo, con alg\u00fan que otro n\u00famero de armon\u00eda oscura que recordaba al pop electr\u00f3nico \u2014el segundo <em>track<\/em> de la noche, por ejemplo, basado en un texto po\u00e9tico que cant\u00f3 Kurzmann\u2014. Tambi\u00e9n hubo alg\u00fan que otro instante edificado a ra\u00edz de un presunto marcado patr\u00f3n de amalgama \u2014la improvisaci\u00f3n de antes del bis\u2014, en realidad forjado de forma instant\u00e1nea.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tomajazz.com\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/05_130218_BKV.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5263\" alt=\"05_130218_BKV\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tomajazz.com\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/05_130218_BKV.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"399\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tomajazz.com\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/05_130218_BKV.jpg 600w, https:\/\/tomajazz.com\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/05_130218_BKV-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tomajazz.com\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/06_130218_BKV.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5264\" alt=\"06_130218_BKV\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tomajazz.com\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/06_130218_BKV.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"399\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tomajazz.com\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/06_130218_BKV.jpg 600w, https:\/\/tomajazz.com\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/06_130218_BKV-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a>El trabajo sobre los espacios vac\u00edos y el contraste de colores, ritmos y pasajes fueron dos de los aciertos de un concierto en el que, en alg\u00fan momento, pudimos escuchar una de las versiones m\u00e1s lacerantes del registro <em>vandermarkiano<\/em> en forma de notas muy agudas, casi dolorosas. A las imprecaciones sonoras del de Chicago cabe sumar la\u00a0 labor efectista de Kurzmann al <em>sampler<\/em>, disparando voces electrizantes, penetrantes, de inspiraci\u00f3n, digamos, industrial. Pero fue sobre todo el arte del baterista el que llam\u00f3 m\u00e1s la atenci\u00f3n del humilde cronista que firma esta cuartilla. Brandlmayr jug\u00f3 a recrear sonidos desde la heterodoxia y la imaginaci\u00f3n, con platos que cambiaban de lugar y se estrellaban contra los cueros, redobles inesperados o golpes toscos sobre la caja que empastaban con la cadencia del tema. Es, seg\u00fan parece, una suerte de Work In Progress, que dir\u00edan los gafapastas, con piezas sin bautizar y un futuro tan enigm\u00e1tico como esplendoroso.
