\"StickEl tr\u00edo de colaboraciones estelares, como el violinista David Cross o el saxofonista y flautista Mel Collins, continua su desarrollo con el teclista y percusionista Gary Husband en este Owari<\/em>.<\/p>\n

La grabaci\u00f3n result\u00f3 ser la primera y la \u00fanica debido a la pandemia del Covid-19.<\/em><\/p>\n

Inicialmente estaba pensado que el grupo girara por Asia durante un mes.<\/p>\n

El primero de los cap\u00edtulos de este Owari<\/em>, es \u201cHajime (Peace)\u201d, una pieza lis\u00e9rgica y misteriosa donde se a\u00fana el krautrock<\/em> y los ecos pinkfloidianos<\/em> y crimsonianos<\/em> abrigados por la voz de Deborah Carter Mastelotto recitando el poema \u201cPeace\u201d del letrista Pete Sinfield, que fue incluido en la obra de King Crimson, In the Wake of Poseidon<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Otro de los temas cl\u00e1sicos de King Crimson es \u201cLarks’ Tongues in Aspic, Part II\u201d, perteneciente al disco Larks’ Tongues in Aspic<\/em> de 1973.<\/p>\n

La versi\u00f3n aqu\u00ed expuesta es bastante reconocible, \u00e1cida y met\u00e1lica y con un cierto toque funk<\/em> que la eleva alto para caer y volver a elevarse hasta la disoluci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

\u201cCrack in the Sky\u201d navega entre la melod\u00eda y la susurrante voz de Tony Levin, los paisajes sonoros y los riff <\/em>de la Touch Guitars\u00ae AU8<\/em> de Markus Reuter.<\/p>\n

\u201cOwari\u201d combina el ambient<\/em> oscuro, la tensa improvisaci\u00f3n y el jazz-rock<\/em> progresivo; en \u201cProg Noir\u201d, Tony Levin aporta texturas c\u00e1lidas con su voz natural y desnuda donde es acompa\u00f1ado coralmente por el sonido envolvente de Markus Reuter, Pat Mastelotto y Gary Husband.<\/p>\n

En la atmosf\u00e9rica, hipn\u00f3tica e inquietante \u201cSwimming in T\u201d encontramos a Pat Mastelotto y Tony Levin como metr\u00f3nomos de un viaje incognito. Markus Reuter cercano al sonido de Robert Fripp a Gary Husband rememorando a Pink Floyd en la composici\u00f3n \u201cEchos.<\/p>\n

La densidad y complejidad de \u201cLevel 5\u201d (influencia de King Crimson) se ve corroborada y reflejada en otras composiciones como la minimalista \u201cHide the Trees\u201d, \u201cCusp\u201d o \u201cSchattenhaft\u201d.<\/p>\n

El \u00e1lbum se cierra con el bonus track<\/em>: \u201cThe End of The Tour\u201d. Una pieza que en cierto modo resume lo que \u00e9ste Owari<\/em>: paisajes sonoros, ambientes tensionados, oscuros y siniestros, minimalismo e improvisaci\u00f3n que dejan al margen todo lo mostrado en cortes precedentes, tales como la contundencia, los sonidos \u00e1cidos y met\u00e1licos o el sutil toque funk<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Owari<\/em>, the end<\/em>, el fin. Una palabra en tres idiomas. Una obra que continuar\u00e1 perdurando en el tiempo.<\/p>\n
