Un peque\u00f1o pero extraordinario sello de Barcelona ha producido la imprescindible reedici\u00f3n de este cl\u00e1sico del jazz brit\u00e1nico, en una edici\u00f3n limitada a 500 copias, con un texto introductorio firmado por la propia <strong>Norma<\/strong> <strong>Winstone<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A\u00f1os antes del primer disco de <em>Azimuth<\/em> para ECM, la vocalista ya cont\u00f3 con <strong>John<\/strong> <strong>Taylor<\/strong> y <strong>Kenny<\/strong> <strong>Wheeler<\/strong> en su debut como l\u00edder. Tambi\u00e9n lo hizo con unas cuantas luminarias de la escena brit\u00e1nica, haciendo de su <i>Edge Of Time<\/i>\u00a0un aut\u00e9ntico &#8216;<i>meeting of the giants<\/i>&#8216; que inclu\u00eda a <strong>Tony<\/strong> <strong>Levin<\/strong>, <strong>Kenny<\/strong> <strong>Wheeler<\/strong>, <strong>John<\/strong> <strong>Taylor<\/strong>, <strong>Alan<\/strong> <strong>Skidmore<\/strong>, <strong>Paul<\/strong> <strong>Rutherford<\/strong>, <strong>Mike<\/strong> <strong>Osborne<\/strong> y muchos m\u00e1s.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El disco es una obra sorprendente, un debut may\u00fasculo y maduro que sorprende por su riqueza, variedad y originalidad. Desde el suntuoso comienzo, con <strong>Winstone<\/strong> y <strong>Rutherford<\/strong> dialogando, hasta la explosi\u00f3n de \u00abErebus\u00bb, la calidez de \u00abSongs Of A Child\u00bb o el solo de <strong>Wheeler<\/strong> en \u00abEnjoy This Day\u00bb, el disco es un alarde de elocuencia y buen gusto, siempre conducido h\u00e1bilmente por la vocalista. Aparte de <strong>Winstone<\/strong>, entre los compositores de las piezas figuran <strong>Neil<\/strong> <strong>Ardley<\/strong> y <strong>John<\/strong> <strong>Surman<\/strong> (aunque no tocan en el disco), lo que a una idea de hasta qu\u00e9 punto estamos ante un pedazo de historia del jazz brit\u00e1nico.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Wah Wah Records se toma el sonido muy en serio, por lo que esta necesaria reedici\u00f3n de <i>Edge Of Time<\/i>\u00a0ha sido cuidadosamente remasterizada por el prestigioso estudio belga Equus Mastering. Aunque algunos aficionados pueden encontrar cierta barrera en el vinilo, los tiempos cada vez vienen m\u00e1s acompa\u00f1ados de excelentes reediciones en este formato.
