Aunque Davis ten\u00eda un contrato con Prestige, este sello permiti\u00f3 que grabara para una futura publicaci\u00f3n en Columbia, con la condici\u00f3n que no se publicase mientras el contrato con Prestige estuviera en vigor. El disco se public\u00f3 finalmente en 1957.
