Charlie Mariano Transitory<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Aunque en sus inicios la carrera del saxofonista Charlie Mariano estuvo asociada estil\u00edsticamente a la figura de Charlie Parker, a mediados de los a\u00f1os sesenta supo evolucionar e introducir en su m\u00fasica elementos folkl\u00f3ricos pertenecientes a culturas distintas a las occidentales.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Un buen ejemplo es la versi\u00f3n del tema tradicional del sur de la India \u00abPudu Kkotai\u00bb, incluida en el disco <em>Transitory <\/em>de Jasper van&#8217;t Hof con Mariano ejerciendo de protagonista absoluto como multi-instrumentista. En la introducci\u00f3n utilizaba la flauta de bamb\u00fa para crear un ambiente relajado y on\u00edrico. A continuaci\u00f3n expon\u00eda la composici\u00f3n por medio del <em>nagaswaram<\/em>, instrumento tradicional de sonido penetrante y m\u00e1s grave que el del saxo soprano. Finalmente hac\u00eda uso de \u00e9ste para realizar un solo magn\u00edfico que llevaba el tema m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de los ocho minutos de duraci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Con sus momentos m\u00e1s o menos acertados, Charlie Mariano fue un m\u00fasico que supo evolucionar y encontrar nuevos caminos en su m\u00fasica a lo largo de su larga carrera.
