Sin embargo, Harold Ashby, que complet\u00f3 y redonde\u00f3 la muy honorable l\u00ednea de saxofonistas tenores de la orquesta del Duque (Ben Webster \u2013 Al Sears\u00a0\u2013 Paul Gonsalves \u2013 Harold Ashby, con permiso del bueno de Jimmy Hamilton) se gan\u00f3 por m\u00e9ritos propios el derecho a homenajear a quien fuera su l\u00edder durante seis a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En esta grabaci\u00f3n, registrada el 13 de noviembre de 1998 en los estudios Clinton de Nueva York, Harold Ashby se acompa\u00f1a de Lloyd Mayers (piano), Earl May (contrabajo) y Leroy Williams (bater\u00eda), con quienes hab\u00eda trabajado previamente (los dos primeros participaron en el musical de Broadway <em>Sophisticated Ladies<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El disco se plantea como un homenaje a los 100 a\u00f1os del nacimiento de Ellington (24 de abril de 1999) y, para ello, el grueso del material procede del disco <em>Duke Ellington\u2019s 70 Birthday Concert<\/em>: \u201cSatin Doll\u201d, \u201cSophisticated Lady\u201d, \u201cMood Indigo\u201d, \u201cB.P.\u201d y \u201cJust Squeeze Me\u201d (en los dos \u00faltimos temas, Harold Ashby tuvo un papel prominente en la grabaci\u00f3n de treinta a\u00f1os antes).
