Adem\u00e1s ha sido integrante y publicado grabaciones con el cuarteto Walking Distance y el tr\u00edo Ember, y en este mismo 2022 publicaba <em>Substrate<\/em> (Unit Records) junto a Laurent Nicoud.<\/p>\n<p>Para esta nueva obra ha reunido un cuarteto de campanillas que completan el pianista <strong>Orrin<\/strong> <strong>Evans<\/strong> (un m\u00fasico que ya ha contado con Curtis para sus grupos y grabaciones), el contrabajista <strong>Eric<\/strong> <strong>Revis<\/strong> y el baterista <strong>Gerald<\/strong> <strong>Cleaver<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>El saxofonista se encarga de todas las composiciones, aunque en la obra destaca el trabajo del grupo. Eric Revis y Gerald Cleaver propulsan, \u00a1y de qu\u00e9 manera!, a sus dos compa\u00f1eros. Si en el primer tema, \u00abHeatmap\u00bb, es el bajista el que impulsa a sus compa\u00f1eros en un tema que va ganando intensidad, y en el que el l\u00edder deja que sean sus compa\u00f1eros quienes presenten antes que \u00e9l mismo sus credenciales. Tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1 el <em>ornettiano<\/em> \u00abSurrounding\u00bb en el que el baterista es el que impone el ritmo. Ambos instrumentos, contrabajo y bater\u00eda, forman un colch\u00f3n perfecto para el trabajo tanto del saxofonista, como del pianista Orrin Evans.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abTrembling\u00bb es otro tema nervioso, con la percusi\u00f3n imponi\u00e9ndose y al que se a\u00f1ade el borboteo de notas de Evans, mientras que el saxofonista va cantando la melod\u00eda.
