Por fortuna, los m\u00fasicos no intercambian sus roles. Cuando <strong>Moor<\/strong> y <strong>Hessels<\/strong> entran en los terrenos de la libre improvisaci\u00f3n se olvidan de su papel como guitarristas de la formaci\u00f3n (inicialmente) <em>punk<\/em>. Del mismo modo, cuando improvisadores como \u00a0<strong>Vandermark<\/strong>, <strong>Gustafsson<\/strong> y el trombonista <strong>Wolter<\/strong> <strong>Wierbos <\/strong>colaboran con el grupo<strong> The Ex<\/strong>, formando en los <strong>Brass Unbound<\/strong>, trabajan como una potente secci\u00f3n de viento que sirve para propulsar el repertorio de los holandeses.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Durante sus \u00faltimas grabaciones <strong>The Ex<\/strong>\u00a0ha inspirado en su parte de su repertorio en m\u00fasicas de Etiop\u00eda, algo que vuelve a suceder en parte de los temas de\u00a0<em>Enormous Door<\/em>, su nuevo CD. Al contrario de lo que ocurre con sus grabaciones (que habitualmente son un pretexto para trabajar en directo ese repertorio, m\u00e1s que el reflejo de lo que son capaces de extraer en sus conciertos previos al paso por el estudio de grabaci\u00f3n), en esta ocasi\u00f3n incluyen temas nuevos junto a otros ya conocidos. Entre los primeros est\u00e1n \u00abLast Famous Words\u00bb, \u00abEvery Sixth Is Cracked\u00bb, \u00abBelomi Benna\u00bb, \u00abRed Cow\u00bb y \u00abWe Are Made Of Places\u00bb. En cuanto al material ya publicado incluyen dos composiciones relacionadas con su grabaci\u00f3n <em>Catch My Shoe<\/em> (<a title=\"Wish I\u2019ll Be There: The Ex + Brass Unbound Tour 2011 (aka Can\u2019t Happen Here)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tomajazz.com\/web\/?p=2547\" target=\"_blank\">publicado cuando <strong>The Ex &amp; Brass Unbound<\/strong> comenz\u00f3 su andadura<\/a>): \u00abOur Leaky Homes\u00bb (cara B del <em>single<\/em> \u00abMaybe I Was The Pilot\u00bb), \u00abBycicle Ilusions\u00bb,\u00a0y junto a ellos un cl\u00e1sico de su repertorio, \u00abTheme From Konono N\u00ba2\u00bb. <strong>Vandermark<\/strong>, <strong>Gustafsson<\/strong>, <strong>Wierbos<\/strong> y el trompetista <strong>Roy Paci<\/strong>\u00a0(que se muestran muy contenidos y mel\u00f3dicos si se comparan con los proyectos en los que habitualmente colaboran) sirven para dar lustre y brillo a un buen repertorio, apoyando el trabajo de <strong>Moor<\/strong>, <strong>Hessels<\/strong> y <strong>Arnold de Boer<\/strong>\u00a0(tambi\u00e9n voz cantante) a las guitarras, y al fant\u00e1stico <em>punch<\/em> de la baterista <strong>Katherina Bornefeld<\/strong>. <a title=\"The Ex + Esperit!
