La voz aterciopelada de Michael Feinstein nos transporta a las pel\u00edculas de los a\u00f1os treinta y cuarenta, evoca galanes y orquestas de cuerda, en este caso embutidas en el l\u00edrico piano de Andr\u00e9 Previn, compositor de todos los temas de la sesi\u00f3n (la mayor\u00eda de ellos destinados originalmente, como no pod\u00eda ser de otra forma, al cine). No en vano Feinstein reivindica a Previn como autor de <i>standards <\/i>poco conocidos. Ese es el tratamiento que da a cada una de las doce canciones que conforman el CD.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Temas concebidos para pel\u00edculas como <i>Valley Of The Dolls<\/i>, <i>Goodbye Mr Chips<\/i> o <i>Inside Daisy Clover<\/i> cobran vida propia a cargo del tr\u00edo. Previn abarca la armon\u00eda y resalta las suaves palabras de Feinstein (escritas, en su mayor\u00eda, por Dory Previn, la ya fallecida esposa de Andr\u00e9). David Finck carga con la responsabilidad r\u00edtmica. M\u00e1s all\u00e1 de subrayar cada acorde, su contrabajo propulsa a sus compa\u00f1eros y define un contexto de <i>swing<\/i> muy apropiado para este repertorio.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El oyente inquieto encontrar\u00e1, adem\u00e1s, an\u00e9cdotas sobre el proyecto en la carpetilla del disco, a destacar el entusiasmo del cantante y la reticencia del autor a dar salida a sus propias obras en este formato. Por fortuna, especialmente para el deleite de oyentes melanc\u00f3licos, <i>Change Of Heart<\/i> ha visto la luz.
