Durante este a\u00f1o tambi\u00e9n actuan en Espa\u00f1a en Valencia (Jimmy Glass 28 de febrero), Bilbao (Bilba\u00edna Jazz Club 2 y 3 de marzo) y volver\u00e1n en junio d\u00eda 1 en Almer\u00eda (Clasijazz) y d\u00eda 2 en Torremolinos (Clarence Jazz), estas dos actuaciones con el aliciente de contar como saxofonista invitado a Gary Bartz.<\/p>\n<p>El grupo funciona con dos liderazgos claros el bater\u00eda Franklin Kiermyer y el joven pianista Davis Whitfield que lleva todo el peso compositivo del grupo. El resto de componentes del grupo, b\u00e1sicamente saxo tenor y contrabajo va cambiando seg\u00fan exigencias de la gira con alguna sorpresa como la rese\u00f1ada del saxofonista Gary Bartz.<\/p>\n<p>El motivo de la gira es la presentaci\u00f3n de su \u00faltimo trabajo grabado y considerado como uno de los discos importantes del a\u00f1o 2022 por la revista \u201cDownbeat Magazine\u201d, la suite denominada <em>Emancipation<\/em>. El concierto es vibrante desde el primer minuto y si cerramos los ojos, por lo menos a mi me pas\u00f3, era como transladarse no solo al sonido de Coltrane cuando public\u00f3 <em>A Love Supreme<\/em> sino al concepto que intentaba transmitir Coltrane con esa m\u00fasica, ese sentido de \u201cextasis espiritual\u201d que como recoge el comentarista del Lincoln Center:\u00a0\u00a0 <em>\u201cScatter The Atoms That Remain canaliza el tipo de intensidad hermosa y disciplinada ejemplificada por el difunto John Coltrane. Ese tipo de espiritualidad universal\u2026\u201d <\/em>Esta sensaci\u00f3n se refuerza con el sonido percusivo del piano de Davis Whitfield que incluso evoca una \u00e9poca posterior de McCoy Tyner.<\/p>\n<p>En s\u00edntesis, un concierto interesante, que en Junio se podr\u00e1 volver a disfrutar en Almer\u00eda y\/o M\u00e1laga (Torremolinos).
