Este <em>Let\u2019s Touch The Sky<\/em> sigue los pasos de su anterior <em>Energy<\/em>, si bien de forma algo m\u00e1s deslavazada. Los originales del bajista Nathan East se acercan al <em>smooth jazz<\/em>, los del bater\u00eda Harvey Mason recrean el <em>jazz fusion<\/em> m\u00e1s mel\u00f3dico y los del pianista Bob James albergan mayor complejidad formal. Las nuevas aportaciones de Chuck Loeb, de sonoridad personal e inconfundible, navegan a medio camino entre su lado m\u00e1s comercial (el de los discos a su nombre) y las sonoridades de su otra banda, Metro (especialmente patente en \u201cAbove And Beyond\u201d). Al material propio hay que sumar dos versiones, el \u201cLove TKO\u201d de Womack &amp; Womack (cantado, en esta ocasi\u00f3n, por Ruben Studdard) y un \u201cYou\u2019re My Thrill\u201d deliciosamente interpretado por Anita Baker.<\/p>\n<p>El inicial \u201cLet\u2019s Touch The Sky\u201d y \u201cA Night In Rio\u201d albergan aires brasile\u00f1os, mientras \u201c3rd Degree\u201d y \u201cGolden Faders\u201d investigan en la fusi\u00f3n progresiva. Curioso c\u00f3mo suena Chuck Loeb a Earl Klugh en \u201cPineapple Getaway\u201d, y c\u00f3mo Nathan East acompa\u00f1a sus solos de bajo con su propia voz. Es, por desgracia, el bajista quien protagoniza el punto de menos inter\u00e9s de todo el disco cantando su propio \u201cI\u2019ll Still Be Lovin\u2019 You\u201d, balada edulcorada y de estilo muy pasado de moda. Justo tras ella aparece un radical cambio de sensaciones con \u201cGentle Giant\u201d, un homenaje de Bob James al recientemente fallecido Hank Jones. Si bien no se trata de un disco redondo, har\u00e1 las delicias de sus fans.
