Son ya tres ocasiones en las que el guitarrista ha pisado el escenario del Parque Almansa, y en todas ellas ha obtenido un gran \u00e9xito y reconocimiento. En esta tercera ocasi\u00f3n lleg\u00f3 con un reciente \u00e1lbum editado titulado <i>Double Exposure<\/i> (Telarc, 2012) en el que recopila variadas piezas musicales del mejor <i>pop<\/i> mundial de su generaci\u00f3n, tratadas bajo la perspectiva del jazz tradicional. Desde su primer \u00e1lbum en el a\u00f1o 1990, su producci\u00f3n discogr\u00e1fica alcanza ya la cifra de veinticinco t\u00edtulos como l\u00edder, y otros tantos discos como colaborador de figuras con gran renombre. Temas como \u201cSo Dan\u00e7o Samba\u201d y \u201cThe Girl From Ipanema\u201d, de Antonio Carlos Jobim, con las que rememor\u00f3 al gran compositor brasile\u00f1o, hicieron las delicias del p\u00fablico presente en el auditorio. Larry Fuller fue el encargado de las fluidas improvisaciones, en las que hizo gala de su magistral destreza en honor al autor desaparecido. Para continuar, Pizzarelli toc\u00f3 y cant\u00f3 en solitario \u201cAnd I Love Her\u201d, tema emblem\u00e1tico de Lennon y McCartney, y \u201cHere Comes The Sun\u201d, a ritmo de <i>bossa<\/i>, ya acompa\u00f1ado por el resto del grupo. El l\u00edder nos regal\u00f3 tambi\u00e9n algunos temas incluidos en su m\u00e1s reciente \u00e1lbum, entre ellos \u201cHarvest Moon\u201d, de Neil Young, otra muestra de la deliciosa forma de cantar de Pizzarelli. La complicidad del guitarrista con los asistentes no tardo mucho en dar su fruto, invit\u00e1ndoles a acompa\u00f1arle en \u201cRuby Baby\u201d, de Jerry Leiber y Mike Stoller, otro de los temas de su \u00faltimo disco, compartiendo coros y palmas con los entusiasmados oyentes. La sesi\u00f3n acab\u00f3 con John Pizzarelli en el escenario acompa\u00f1ado \u00fanicamente por su guitarra, ante una respetable audiencia que disfrut\u00f3 de algo m\u00e1s de 90 minutos de actuaci\u00f3n, minutos que parecieron eternos, en el mejor de los sentidos. Un extraordinario concierto que pasar\u00e1 a la memoria del festival, junto con sus dos anteriores. Vendr\u00e1n nuevos trabajos de este imparable guitarrista, pero mientras tanto podemos disfrutar, en el presente, de su ya abultada y rica discograf\u00eda.
