Fruto de la determinaci\u00f3n de un m\u00fasico nacido en el pueblo sevillano, colindante con la capital, Dos Hermanas, llamado Jos\u00e9 Lu\u00eds L\u00f3pez, que en 1979 inici\u00f3 una aventura que llega hasta nuestros d\u00edas con \u00e9l al frente. El Soberao Jazz es sin duda el club de jazz, en funcionamiento, m\u00e1s antiguo de Sevilla, que ha mantenido contra viento y marea m\u00fasica en directo, siendo en muchas ocasiones el \u00fanico refugio donde un m\u00fasico de jazz pod\u00eda tocar en Sevilla y su entorno, incluso cuando tuvo que renacer de sus propias cenizas, en 2015 por un incendio fortuito que destruy\u00f3 casi por completo sus instalaciones. El Soberao Jazz Club se constituye en 2014 como Asociaci\u00f3n Cultural Musical, pero en sus ya 44 a\u00f1os de funcionamiento por su peque\u00f1o escenario han pasado cientos de m\u00fasicos de todas las procedencias. Desde 2008, el Soberao Jazz Club organiza su propio festival de jazz, que en sus primeras ediciones se realizaba en las propias instalaciones de la calle \u201cFrancesa\u201d y que \u00faltimamente se ha trasladado al magn\u00edfico auditorio de la Ciudad del Conocimiento de la ciudad de Dos Hermanas.<\/p>\n<p>En esta XVII edici\u00f3n del Festival Soberao Jazz celebrado del 29 de septiembre al 1 de octubre de 2023, han pasado tres grupos: De la Rosa &#8211; Lara N\u00fc 4tet, Nat Ruciero 5tet. y el grupo alem\u00e1n Christof Thewes 4tet. y por supuesto las Jams diarias celebradas en el club.<\/p>\n<p>Quiero resaltar en esta rese\u00f1a la actuaci\u00f3n del Christof Thewes 4tet que de alguna manera define la esencia de lo que significa el Soberao Jazz Club. Grupo at\u00edpico con un sonido \u00fanico que re\u00fane un aut\u00e9ntico ejercicio de sincretismo musical, donde conviven lo m\u00e1s tradicional del estilo New Orleans con el Free Jazz m\u00e1s innovador, pasando por las influencias de las m\u00fasicas b\u00e1lticas y de la Alemania profunda. La genialidad de su l\u00edder que, desde una anarqu\u00eda aparente, nos presenta una propuesta muy bien estructurada y una disciplina musical f\u00e9rrea, una m\u00fasica que reivindica su espacio, aun siendo conscientes de su posici\u00f3n minoritaria y lo hace derrochando humor. Personaje rabiosamente independiente, con iniciativas tan sorprendentes como su \u201cSurreal Book\u201d r\u00e9plica del ortodoxo \u201cReal Book\u201d nacido en la Berklee, en la que lleva recopiladas m\u00e1s de trecientas canciones del propio Chistof creadas a lo largo de los \u00faltimos 35 a\u00f1os y va por la letra E, su proyecto \u201cTrombone alone\u201d o m\u00e1s recientemente con canciones de art rock \u201cPhase Vier\u201d con la cantante Sabine No\u00df etc, etc\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Christof Thewes desde su atalaya de la regi\u00f3n de Sarre en un asentamiento minero abandonado que como \u00e9l mismo afirma \u201c<em>esta zona es un Liverpool del Sarre\u201d, un paisaje posterior al final de la revoluci\u00f3n industrial, marcado y moldeado para siempre por la desaparici\u00f3n de la industria minera: un lugar extra\u00f1amente id\u00edlico donde ya nadie sue\u00f1a con cambios estructurales y nuevos trabajos<\/em>.\u201d Desde all\u00ed, donde vive con su familia, Thewes genera una actividad trepidante siendo siempre fiel a s\u00ed mismo.
