Tras el cu\u00e1druple CD se\u00f1alado, publica el doble CD <i>Occupy The World<\/i> (TUM) en compa\u00f1\u00eda de la <i>big band<\/i> finesa TUMO. Cinco temas reivindicativos (en los que se hace eco del movimiento <i>Occupy Wall Street<\/i>) que sirven para demostrar que a partir de lo escrito hay la posibilidad de crear mucho espacio, de inventar muchas estrategias para que los m\u00fasicos improvisen con libertad total.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mats Gustafsson es uno de los saxofonistas m\u00e1s potentes de la escena libre improvisada. Habitualmente arrollador, en <i>Shift<\/i> (NoBusiness Records) se acopla al tr\u00edo Correction en una propuesta en la que el pianista Sebastian Bergstr\u00f6m dirige la m\u00fasica con riendas libres, sin olvidarse entre la tensi\u00f3n y las improvisaciones libres de crear muy buenas melod\u00edas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El New Atlantis Octet (superformaci\u00f3n con m\u00fasicos como Roy Campbell o Steve Swell) opta en <i>Unto The Sun<\/i> (Not Two) por recurrir al <i>free jazz<\/i> sin complejos. Dos temas (72 minutos en total) en los que hay <i>tuttis<\/i> potentes, solos expresionistas, pero sobre todo mucha energ\u00eda y la libertad que parte del jazz m\u00e1s acad\u00e9mico ha sustituido demasiadas veces por aquello de poner la nota correcta en el sitio adecuado.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00bfSe puede poner una banda sonora jazz\u00edstica a un documental sobre dos chatarreros? El baterista Frank Rosaly lo hace en <i>Cicada Music<\/i> (Delmark), que aunque es su estreno como l\u00edder, no es sino un CD m\u00e1s a a\u00f1adir a su ya amplia discograf\u00eda. Su m\u00e9rito es que la m\u00fasica funciona sin im\u00e1genes gracias a temas obsesivos (los m\u00e1s breves) en los que trabaja con inusuales estructuras y sonoridades (su sexteto incluye tres clarinetistas), mientras que en los m\u00e1s extensos (que aunque jazz no es precisamente ortodoxa) transmite un <i>swing<\/i> y un atractivo inapelables.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><i>Crossing The Waters<\/i> (Intakt) es el primer encuentro entre Elliot Sharp (guitarra), Melvin Gibbs (bajo) y Lucas Niggli (bater\u00eda). Los tres combinan sus influencias (el blues, el funk, el rock, el jazz y la libre improvisaci\u00f3n) como si se conociesen desde siempre.
