La cita, en esta ocasi\u00f3n, fue con el grupo Shenandoah Jazz Project, formaci\u00f3n que ya tiene su primer \u00e1lbum hom\u00f3nimo autoeditado. El cuarteto se clasific\u00f3 en 2023 entre los cuatro finalistas del 17th Bucarest Internacional Jazz Competition.<\/p>\n<p>El grupo bas\u00f3 su concierto <a href=\"https:\/\/tomajazz.com\/web\/shenandoah-jazz-project-cd-2024\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">en los temas del disco recientemente editado<\/a> y otras piezas in\u00e9ditas no recogidas en el \u00e1lbum, como \u201cCarucubere Dance\u201d (Marcos \u00c1vila), un tema exquisito en el que Morote utiliz\u00f3 el sonido del saxo soprano, acentuando el car\u00e1cter contempor\u00e1neo de la partitura. La sesi\u00f3n continu\u00f3 con \u201cPetite Mort\u201d (Andr\u00e9s Garc\u00eda), una composici\u00f3n que contiene diferentes din\u00e1micas, con influencias del flamenco. Tras la exposici\u00f3n del tema, fue el saxofonista Morote el primero en entrar a las improvisaciones, en\u00e9rgico y vitalista, seguido del pianista en una parte m\u00e1s relajada.<\/p>\n<p>Garc\u00eda coment\u00f3 el siguiente tema titulado \u201cChancho\u2019s Love\u201d, una elocuente\u00a0 y bella partitura compuesta por el baterista y dedicada a su perro, compa\u00f1ero fiel en los tiempos de la pandemia. El sonido del saxo soprano de Morote inund\u00f3 el espacio del auditorio, creando una atm\u00f3sfera m\u00e1gica y sutil. La conexi\u00f3n y la interacci\u00f3n del grupo es un factor muy importante, de ello depende el resultado musical de cada tema y de la actuaci\u00f3n en general. Morote y \u00c1vila desarrollaron sendas y fluidas improvisaciones, apoyados por las sutiles l\u00edneas del bajo el\u00e9ctrico y la precisa bater\u00eda, hasta llegar a la intensidad requerida.<\/p>\n<p>La balada \u201cHasta que vuelvas\u201d (Alberto Morote) marc\u00f3 el ecuador del concierto. Y un bis, \u201cJawon\u201d, otro tema in\u00e9dito del bajista Rodr\u00edguez, en el que lucieron las incursiones de Morote y \u00c1vila, caminando sobre los vivaces ritmos latinos marcados por el bajo de Rodr\u00edguez y la bater\u00eda de Garc\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p>El proyecto del cuarteto sugiere una m\u00fasica fresca y ecl\u00e9ctica, con varias l\u00edneas y estilos a seguir, y sobre todo bien elaborada.
