En 2013, finalmente, Clean Feed publica <em>Twine Forest<\/em>, primera grabaci\u00f3n mano a mano de ambos m\u00fasicos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angelica Sanchez es la autora de los ocho temas. Unas composiciones que son desarrolladas de un modo muy abierto, en las que ambos m\u00fasicos llevan a cabo un di\u00e1logo de igual a igual.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A lo largo de la grabaci\u00f3n en un momento son las l\u00edneas, cortas, del trompetista, las que son apoyadas en la distancia (espacio y tiempo mediante) por la pianista. En otro momento es el pianista quien sigue el juego a su compa\u00f1era. En otras ocasiones ambos se enzarzan en un di\u00e1logo directo y sin cortapisas, en consistente un toma y daca musical.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Wadada Leo Smith en esta ocasi\u00f3n ni recurre al esp\u00edritu sonoro de Miles Davis, ni a la inspiraci\u00f3n <em>milesiana<\/em> que inunda algunos de sus proyectos como Yo Miles! (que por otro lado es toda una declaraci\u00f3n de principios ya desde su propio nombre). En esta ocasi\u00f3n se deja llevar por su sonido, transitando sin premura ni precipitaci\u00f3n por unos temas que recogen distintos estados de \u00e1nimo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angelica Sanchez responde perfectamente a las exigencias de su compa\u00f1ero. Al contrario que \u00e9l, s\u00ed que llega a utilizar t\u00e9cnicas extendidas con su instrumento, el piano, con las que logra unos pasajes especialmente intensos y crispados.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A sus casi 72 a\u00f1os (que cumplir\u00e1 el pr\u00f3ximo 18 de diciembre de 2013), Wadada Leo Smith sigue en plena forma en una reluciente segunda juventud.
