Hay precedentes de peso, y entre ellos destaca la reconocida figura de Jan Johansson. Pianista, c\u00f3mo no, sueco, c\u00f3mo no, en sus composiciones e interpretaciones se escuchan ecos cl\u00e1sicos y folcl\u00f3ricos mezclados en un caldero jazz\u00edstico. En los a\u00f1os sesenta ya utilizaba recursos hoy en d\u00eda habituales, como la gesti\u00f3n del espacio, las melod\u00edas modales o el tiempo doblado (incluso cuadriplicado) en el <i>ride <\/i>de la bater\u00eda. Ante una pieza de este pianista, en un <i>blindfold test<\/i> cualquiera creer\u00eda estar escuchando a Bobo Stenson, Jan Lundgren o Esbj\u00f6rn Svensson.
